Frequently Asked Questions - Worker's Compensation

The Virginia Worker's Compensation Act covers injuries and illness that arise as result of an individual's job responsibilities. Compensable claims allow for payment of medical expenses and lost time over 7 calendar days resulting from the injury/illness. To ensure that a claim is filed immediately report all injuries/illness to your supervisor and file an incident report with the Workers' Compensation Office, Human Resources & Payroll at 993-7756.
