The Virginia Worker's Compensation Act covers injuries and illness that arise as result of an individual's job responsibilities. Compensable claims allow for payment of medical expenses and lost time over 7 calendar days resulting from the injury/illness. To ensure that a claim is filed immediately report all injuries/illness to your supervisor and file an incident report with the Workers' Compensation Office, Human Resources & Payroll at 993-9729.
