Telework

As we continue to look at the most productive ways to accomplish our work, flexible work options -- including telework -- are an option that is sometimes advantageous both for the University and the employee. Mason supports telework under certain conditions:

  1. the essential functions of the job can be effectively accomplished away from the on-campus work site;
  2. the work can be measured by the supervisor, both qualitatively and quantitatively;
  3. a written agreement, outlining the specific conditions of the telecommuting arrangement, is signed by the employee and the supervisor.
