Privacy of Records
Your official personnel record kept in the Human Resources office is the property of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The contents of your personnel file may be disclosed only as provided in the Freedom of Information Act.
The Freedom of Information Act provides that employees may have access to information contained in their
personnel record with the exception of mental and medical records when the attending physician has indicated
that a review of such records might be injurious to the employee's health.
