Faculty Orientations
There are two types of faculty orientations. One is a benefits overview for all new faculty, including Administrative/Professional Faculty, and the other is an additional orientation session for Administrative/Professional Faculty only. Appointments for both of these new faculty sessions are scheduled through the NEW Center. Faculty are encouraged to visit the NEW Center on or before their first day of employment at Mason.
The benefits overview is mandatory for all new faculty, both benefits eligible part-time (50% or more appointment time) and full-time. This benefits orientation is held at University Hall, on the fourth floor, in the Human Resources & Payroll Department. Please let the front desk know you are here for the new faculty benefits orientation.
Orientations for new Administrative/Professional Faculty are held on the first Friday of each month, unless holidays require adjustments. New administrative and professional faculty members will learn about Mason's culture, employee-related policies and procedures, and other important information at this orientation session held on the Fairfax campus.
