Commonwealth Commuter Choice Program
An Executive Order signed by former Governor Jim Gilmore gives full-time state employees in Northern Virginia a financial incentive to commute by public transit or vanpool. This is a state paid, tax-free benefit of up to $115 per month. The Informational Guide provides full details of the plan and a list of commuter resources.
To participate, you must first complete an enrollment form. When you submit a Request for Reimbursement (PDF version) or (Word version) by noon on the 12th, funds will be loaded onto your SmarTrip Card the 1st of the following month.
