Relocation Packets
Relocation packets are designed to help recruit prospective candidates to Mason and
the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The packets consist of material about northern Virginia, Mason, and the local
real estate market. Additional material on area school systems, children's
activities, eldercare resources, or other special needs can be included.

Information on moving companies that can be used for relocation (under certain employment contracts) is available. Please direct any questions to the Purchasing Department at 703.993.2580 or your department contact.

Two local firms offer a range of relocation services at no cost to Mason faculty and staff. The firms below can help new employees relocating to the area or current employees who are moving. American Relocation Connections (ARC) is a third-party relocation company specializing in cost effective relocation management both domestically and globally. ARC can manage the relocation process for Mason faculty and staff at no cost through its Single Point of Contact (SPOC) Program.
ARC services include: Pre-Decision/Recruitment Program, Home Sale Assistance, Home Purchase Assistance, Rental Assistance, Temporary Quarters, Household Goods Move, Spouse/Partner Assistance, Family Assistance, Destination Services, Expense Management, Cost of Living Adjustments, and Lump Sum Calculations. Some individual services do involve fees/costs. Others include a rebate to you. Your ARC representative can assist you in understanding the details associated with your relocation.

Housing
Masonvale: Faculty/Staff rental housing located on the Fairfax Campus. Masonvale offers 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments and townhomes. Although terms may vary depending upon availability, Masonvale apartments and townhomes will generally be leased up to twelve (12) months at 90-95% of market rate to qualifying employees based upon a priority system.
