Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion/Chief Diversity Officer Search

George Mason University believes that diversity of opinions, cultures, and perspectives is what provides vibrancy to an academic community. George Mason is looking for a highly experienced industry leader to become its Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion / Chief Diversity Officer. This position will, among other duties:

Work closely with the entire Mason community and surrounding community

Provide leadership, planning, and support for enhancing the diversity and inclusion of the faculty, staff, and students of the university

Lead the shaping of an institutional vision and a compelling message for diversity, equity, and inclusion by creating aspirational goals, plans for institutional change, and assessment of initiatives

Capitalize on the varied ways diversity, equity, and inclusion are and can be embedded in the university’s curriculum, infrastructure, policies, and programs
