George Mason University Welcomes Future Patriots for “Take Your Junior Patriot to Work Day”

George Mason University welcomed 262 Junior Patriots and their families on April 23, 2026, for Take Your Junior Patriot to Work Day at the Fairfax and Mason Square campuses. The celebration kicked off with music and dancing by the Green Machine, a visit from the Patriot mascot, and the Junior Patriot Palooza hosted by Human Resources.

Activity Recapdecorative

With 45 hands-on activities and special discounts, Junior Patriots explored everything from robotics, emergency preparedness, and video game design to recycling, police K9 demonstrations, and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Center for the Arts. Fan favorites included meeting Star Wars Shakespeare author Ian Doescher, blending smoothies on the Chartwells Blender Bike, and climbing aboard fire, police, and SWAT vehicles at the popular Touch a Truck event.

Throughout the day, creativity and play took center stage with crafts, pickleball, field games, story time at the Libraries, scavenger hunts, mock courtroom visits, dance classes, lawn games, and more—offering a dynamic mix of learning, movement, and fun across both campuses.
