In Good Company: Crystal Davis
Meet Crystal, Training Assistant on HR's Organizational Development and Learning (ODL) team.
Crystal joined ODL earlier this year and helps keep learning resources organized and easy to access. She manages internal knowledge, supports projects across the team, and makes sure trainers and consultants can quickly find the tools they need. Her role shifts depending on what’s needed, which means there’s always something new to work on.
That flexibility fits well with Crystal’s background. She’s in the final year of her Doctor of Education in Leadership and Learning in Organizations at Vanderbilt, where she studies how learning systems shape people’s experiences at work. Her role at Mason gives her the chance to see that research come to life in a real learning environment.
Outside of work and dissertation writing, Crystal enjoys strength training, spending time with her husband, and baking when she can squeeze it in. A recent highlight was a blueberry ginger pie with a lattice crust. Already bilingual in Spanish, she’d love to master even more languages and deepen connections across cultures.
Led by curiosity, Crystal enjoys getting to know colleagues across Mason and learning about the work that keeps the university moving.
