Inclusive Workplace Practices During Ramadan and Eid
For the first time in several years, all of Ramadan (March 22 – April 21) and Eid will take place during the spring semester. Please be aware of the ways in which we can support our Muslim colleagues' and students' needs during this time, including but not limited to:
- Recognizing the changes people are making to their schedules and eating habits.
- Acknowledging their practice by wishing them a happy Ramadan ("Ramadan Mubarak!") and Eid ("Eid Mubarak!").
- Checking in and offer support.
- Providing accommodations where needed.* Be mindful of scheduling meetings or events that conflict with prayer times (see flyer below).
*Faculty should refer to Academic Policy 1.6.1: Absence for Religious Observances or Participation in University Activities.
