Performance Management and Succession Planning – Assessment Project
George Mason University Human Resources and Payroll is committed to developing an engaged employee workforce through purposeful mission-driven work, transparency, communication, and growth and development.
To enhance the employee development and engagement experience, we have partnered with Accenture to embark on an eight-week Performance Management and Succession Planning Assessment project. This engagement will focus on assessing the performance management and succession planning experience for administrative/professional faculty and classified staff, identifying recommendations for improvement, and developing an implementation plan.
In the coming weeks, university leaders, administrative/professional faculty, and classified staff will be engaged in focus groups and collaborative workshops to identify gaps and challenges in our current state and ideate towards a future state vision for performance management and succession planning. The project will culminate with a set of strategic recommendations across organization, process, and technology to enable George Mason’s aspirations and will include an implementation roadmap on how to get there.
