Reminder to Appropriately Document Flexible Work

As we start the spring semester, we'd like to remind you that flexible work requests must be appropriately documented and formally approved.

It has come to our attention that some employees are regularly teleworking without flexible work agreements in place, or have not renewed their expired agreements but are continuing to telework. As a reminder, Mason and Commonwealth policy require an approved form on file for most flexible work arrangements, including telework, compressed schedules, and flextime.

If you or an employee you supervise is utilizing flexible work, please ensure that they have the appropriate form(s) on file. Remember that forms must be continually renewed, so you may need to resubmit your form if it has expired.
