University Update: 2024 Faculty and Staff Experience Survey Results

Feedback from the 3,771 colleagues who shared their feedback in the 2024 Faculty and Staff Experience Survey provided valuable insight into our workplace culture and areas for continued growth. Your voice in this year's survey is pivotal to drive our continued evolution.

A Rising Trend in Engagement

We saw the beginning of a positive shift in our workplace culture. Measured on a 5-point scale, our overall Engagement Mean rose to 3.88 which is an increase from the 3.80 reported in the previous cycle. This growth advanced our standing to the 42nd percentile among postsecondary higher education institutions.

Celebrating Our Successes

With multiple survey items receiving high marks from our community. We are particularly proud of the scores in the following areas:

  • Support and Care: Strong scores for feeling supported and cared for by supervisors.
  • Mission and Contribution: Many employees feel connected to the university’s mission and able to do what they do best.
  • Clarity and Tools: High satisfaction with expectations, materials, and resources.
  • Valuing Feedback: Employees feel their opinions matter.
  • Flexible Work: Remote work support received one of the highest scores (4.65).
  • Respectful Workplace: A strong culture of respect continues to be a foundation (4.17).

Looking Ahead

While we celebrate these successes, we remain committed to using this data to drive further improvements across the university. We look forward to continuing our work together to make our institution an even better place to work.

Employees will receive an email from Gallup inviting them to complete the 2026 Faculty and Staff Experience Survey starting April 1. The survey will be open through April 21.
