Virginia's Hourly Minimum Wage Increase Reminder
Per the Virginia Minimum Wage Act, the hourly minimum wage in Virginia will increase on January 1, 2023 to $12 per hour.
Impacted individuals include student wage, work study and non-student wage workers with current hourly rates below $12.00 per hour as of January 1, 2023. The rates for these individuals will be automatically increased to the new threshold on the effective date.
Please keep the new minimum in mind when hiring. (Note: EPAFS below minimum will be returned for correction.)
