What is Workforce Planning?
Workforce Planning is a strategic and collaborative process to assess current and future needs within a department or unit. It takes a broad, institution-wide view to align with organizational priorities.
Workforce planning supports informed, data-driven decisions around hiring, restructuring, staff development, and succession planning.
As this initiative is implemented, HR will work closely with each unit to provide templates, tools, and consultative support throughout the process.
Changes
- Effective June 16, 2025, the current Critical Vacancy Request (CVR) process will be retired.
- Select components of the CVR will be integrated into the PageUp system, eliminating the need for a separate approval form.
