Internal Coaches

Mason’s Workplace Coaches are a team of skilled internal coaches (Mason employees). Our coaches are highly experienced and/or credentialed through the International Coach Federation (ICF). They utilize the ICF Core Competencies and follow the ICF Code of Ethics. They are passionate about coaching and committed to serving their community. All of them share a desire to help others overcome challenges and achieve goals to create greater well-being and fulfillment in their lives.

Partner Coaches

In addition to our internal workplace coaches, we are excited to partner with recent graduates of the Leadership Coaching for Organizational Well-Being (LCOWB) program who are eager to apply their coaching skills and share their knowledge. They come from a variety of professional backgrounds and have agreed to work with us for a limited period to support human development – theirs and yours! Most of our partner coaches are working toward their ICF certification.

Tips for Selecting a Coach

Ideally, know what you want to be coached on. Each coach brings with them a lifetime of experience and knowledge, so the clearer you are about where you want support, the easier it will be to find the right match.

You may want to consider the following when choosing your coach:

  • Have an initial conversation and pay attention to chemistry. Are their style, approach, and energy a good fit?
  • Does the coach have experience in the area of development you seek?
  • Can the coach articulate their model of coaching and cite examples of how they have helped others?

The coaching relationship is an important one, so please feel free to speak to your coach or the program manager if the engagement is not working out well for you. It is in everyone’s best interest to have an ideal coaching relationship. You are always welcome to choose a different coach.
