Andria is an accomplished Learning & Development practitioner with over 15 years of experience designing and implementing effective learning strategies. With a passion for unlocking the potential of individuals and organizations, Andria has successfully guided numerous companies in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors through strategic learning initiatives working with a diverse group of professionals, keeping them knowledgeable, highly informed, and empowered to work to their fullest potential.
Passionate about guiding others through transformative journeys, Andria has acquired a unique approach to coaching that combines a deep understanding of human behavior rooted in neuroscience. Her coaching foundation was established and certification earned from the NeuroLeadership Institute (NLI). The NLI Results Coaching™ method allows Andria to take a holistic approach to coaching, addressing all aspect of life, career, and personal growth. Andria is excited to offer her skills to Mason’s Workplace Coaching program.
Coaching Approach and Style
Andria has a genuine ability to build rapport and establish a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their desires, fears, and aspirations. She is trained to apply a brain-based methodology to facilitate productive coaching conversations using the neuroscience of learning, motivation, and change. She also deploys science-based strategies to help her clients develop new habits, skills, and behaviors as well as understand change, connection, leadership, and workplace culture through the lens of the SCARF model. The model, which represents Status, Certainty, Autonomy, Relatedness, and Fairness, provides a great framework to help coaching clients understand the human brain to minimize perceived threats and maximize the positive feelings generated through reward when working alongside others.
Relevant Experience
Andria currently serves as a Trainer and Organizational Development Consultant on the Organizational Development and Learning team in Mason’s HR department, where she designs, develops, and facilities a variety of trainings and executes OD interventions that help the Mason community solve problems and improve organizational performance.
Education
Andria holds a MS in Public Management from Florida A&M University and an MS in Human Resource Management from Georgetown University.
Credentials
Andria is currently working towards her Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential through the International Coaching Federation. She is a Master Trainer, a Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD), a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and certified in Crucial Conversations. She is currently working towards her Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential through the International Coaching Federation.
