Black Male Faculty and Staff Employee Resource Group Retreat 

The Black Male Faculty and Staff Employee Resource Group's mission is to promote a sense of community among its members, improve their quality of life, and offer an atmosphere of cultural and social networking among its members. This group is for black males across the university who seek to connect, share resources/information, and build relationships in a space that is safe, vulnerable, and accessible.

On Thursday, February 29, the group will host a Black Male Faculty and Staff Retreat on the Fairfax Campus. The retreat will be held from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Johnson Center and will include interactive workshops, thought-provoking discussions, and networking activities.

The agenda is as follows:

  • Welcome Remarks
  • Introduction to MARIE Research Project
  • Brunch Presentation with Dr. Alan Byrd on Black Student Enrollment
  • Personal/Professional Growth and Development Discourse
  • Closing Remarks
