Congratulations to the 2023-24 Faculty and Staff Book Scholarship Winners!
Human Resources is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2023-24 Faculty and Staff Book Scholarship, which grants each winner $250 in support of continued academic studies. The scholarship can be used for books and additional learning materials from the Mason bookstore.
The scholarship is open to full-time or part-time Mason faculty and classified staff who are enrolled in a Mason degree or graduate certificate program and who have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Recipients must also have a minimum of one year of service at Mason and have earned an overall rating of Successful or Outstanding in their most recent performance evaluation.
The Faculty and Staff Selection Committee anonymously scored nomination packets, including essays where applicants had to outline their educational and professional goals, their program of study, and how the scholarship would positively impact their academic pursuits. Applicants were also asked to share how they uphold the Mason graduate values of being an engaged citizen, a well-rounded scholar, and one who is prepared to act.
