Pats for Patriots Recipient Roundup

World Kindness Day, celebrated annually on November 13, was an opportunity for faculty, staff, and students to promote kindness and compassion within the Mason community and beyond. But spreading kindness didn’t stop on November 13many Mason faculty and staff took the time to promote kindness in November using the Pats for Patriots program. Below is a highlight of the numerous Pats for Patriots that were received in November.

Alan Byrd
Admissions

"Mr. Byrd helped me a lot within the first few weeks of semester. He made me feel seen and cared for as I had recently lost my father and he checked in on me to see how I was doing and told me that if I needed anything not to hesitate to reach out to him. I was having doubts about my role here at Mason and he reassured me that I belong here."

Amanda Naylor
University Events

Thank you so much for being a collaborator and assisting me with booking space on campus for events. Your responsiveness is greatly appreciated, and you help me feel less anxious knowing logistics are worked out.
Philip Wilkerson, University Career Services

Carlos Sandoval
Antonin Scalia Law School

Carlos is not only a fantastic employee who works hard and efficiently, he's so thoughtful to everyone he works with. He stops into our suite just to say hello and ask how we're doing. He introduces colleagues who he thinks should know each other and would get along. He genuinely wants the Mason community to be kind and inspires us all to be better.
Kristina Pietro, Antonin Scalia Law School

Jacquelyn Brown

Dr. Brown, you truly go out of your way to help students and that is something I will never forget. You're friendly, empathetic, and kind, and most of all, you place confidence in students who may have lost it. Thank you so much for all you do and for your help this semester, both inside and outside of class. I appreciate you!

Jeremiah responded to my plea for help in how to handle a finance process question late on a Friday afternoon. I really appreciated the live interaction rather than an email and how quickly it was solved!

Kelly, thank you for assisting me in creating, and then recreating, the INTS courses for the Well-Being RLC! Every semester I have been at Mason, you have been so helpful in this process, and I appreciate it. Thanks for all that you do!
