Open Enrollment is May 1-15
Get ready for Health Open Enrollment from May 1 to May 15. Annual open enrollment is the time of year where you can make changes related to your health plan and flexible spending accounts.
To participate in open enrollment this year, if you have not already, you will need to first register in Cardinal (HCM), which is the Commonwealth of Virginia (State) employee benefit system. Before registration, make sure you have your:
- 11-digit Cardinal Employee ID can be found in PatriotWeb

- patriot web > employee services > employee dashboard > my profile
- GMU Email Address
If you forgot your Cardinal password or have registration questions, use the Portal | Cardinal (virginia.gov) on the Cardinal website for support.
Get familiar with the Cardinal (HCM) Open Enrollment process now, before Open Enrollment officially begins on May 1st.
